Teaching Learning Facilities

The teaching learning process encompasses all the resources that are put in from the institute part like the infrastructural facilities and teaching aids. The Institute is well equipped with most of the teaching learning aids.

The institute has around 10 Class rooms that are well ventilated and illuminated. All the class rooms are equipped with Overhead projectors and Fixed LCDs Projectors.  Most of the faculties utilise these modern aids of teaching to make the lectures more effective and interactive. The lectures are conducted by using both blackboard and audiovisual powerpoint presentations.

All the staff members are highly qualified in reference to the norms and requirements of the subject concerned. Students are accessed regularly in the practicals and in theory lectures by conducting frequent tests and viva voce.

All the teachers are evaluated by the senior faculty as well as the students by regularly recording the feed back regarding performance of the teachers and progress of the syllabus on a regular basis.

The result of both internal and university examinations is also analyzed meticulously which in turn serves as a platform for indirect evaluation of our methods of teaching and learning. We also insist that teachers should go beyond just completion of syllabus and make students aware and curious about the profession of pharmacy by large. Small research project works are also taken up with involvement of students and they are made aware of research methodologies. Regarding practical sessions, students are provided with adequately spaced and intelligently structured laboratories. All equipment and apparatus needed to perform the experiments are available in the laboratory. The teachers are well prepared with the data regarding the experiment and expert results are recorded before experiment is performed by the students. The part of theory syllabus which serves as basis of the experiment being performed is revised before actual commencement of the procedure. This makes the students well informed and quite familiar with the technique. In the internal practical examinations, students are assessed for their skills and smooth conduct of the experiment.

We, at Appasaheb Birnale College of Pharmacy, Sangli, evaluate our teaching-learning process on a planned basis and frequently take corrective measures. The corrective measures are arrived at by evaluating various parameters associated with the process.
